Engr. Prof. Lukeman Sunday Lawal

Engr. Prof. Lukeman Sunday Lawal is a seasoned Engineer with over 24 years of experience in the academics and oil and gas industry. He is a Project Manager and a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Asset Integrity – corrosion monitoring and prevention, pipeline, and structure integrity management. He coordinates and leads teams of Technicians, Specialists and Engineers. He is an entrepreneur and a philanthropist. He is the MD/CEO of Creative Minds Charity Organization, Director of Creative Minds School, Lekki and Titladg Enterprises and a Trustee of African Centre for Media and Intercultural Dialogue. He is an adjunct Professor of Mechanical Engineering and a Director of Studies at TBU Global Extension USA.

He attended Mayflower School, Ikenne, Ogun State from 1985-1991 for his secondary school education. He is a highly educated man who is always ahead of his colleagues. He was the Best Graduating student (Mechanical Engineering), University of Benin, Benin City, Nigeria in 1998. The best Project Exhibitor at the National Junior Engineers, Technicians and Scientists (JETS) Competition in 1990 and a Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited Scholarships Award recipient in 1994. He was a winner of the First Embassy of Israel’s National Bible Contest in Nigeria in 2018 and subsequently a delegate to the holy land – Jerusalem the same year.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, a master’s degree in Thermal Power Engineering from University of Benin, Benin-City in 1998 and 2006 respectively and MBA from the prestigious Pan Atlantic University (Lagos Business School Lagos) in 2013. He obtained his PhD in Mechanical Engineering and Professorial Award from Triune Biblical University Global Extension USA in 2023.
He has over 63 publications ranging from book chapter, articles, conference, and technical papers published in reputable peer-reviewed learned journals (Scopus indexed) and Conference Proceedings to his credit.

Engr. Prof. Lawal, a strategic and creative planner, with expansive experience and efforts to develop, remodel and maintain standard professional experience, he has worked and contributed immensely to the development of the following organizations: Niveaux Nig. Ltd, Slanik Engineering Nig. Ltd., University of Benin, Creative Minds School, and Chevron Nigeria Limited at different capacity.

His professional Membership and Affiliation is very rich: A Member, Nigerian Society of Engineers (MNSE), Member, Nigeria Institutions of Mechanical Engineers (MNIMechE), Registered COREN ENGR, Fellow Chartered Institute of Information and Strategy Management (FCISM), Fellow Institute of Management Consultant (FIMC), Certified Management Consultant (CMC), Fellow Safety Emergency Response Ready Global Institute (FSGI), Fellow Chartered Institute of Arts Management and Professional Studies (FCIAP), etc.
He featured as NACE Volunteer in the crowd in December 2017 Material Performance Magazine. A contributor and chapter writer in a book titled “97 Things Every Project Managers Should Know” – O’reilly Publisher, USA in 2008 and “Beyond The Chalkboard: Crafting Strategies for Human Capital Development in the Digital World” – A Commemorative Volume in Honour of Professor Samuel Oye Bandele, the former VC Ekiti State University, and present VC of Anchor University in 2024.

He was conferred with the prestigious and distinguishing International Leadership Merit Award (ILMA) of Voiceout Nigeria News (VONN) in 2020 and Leadtimes Africa Icon in Leadership and Professionalism by LeadTimes Africa Magazine in July 2023. He is a recipient of the prestigious Nelson Mandela Life Achievement Medallion Award by African Update International Magazine in 2023.
Engr. Prof. Lawal is a seasoned and dynamic leader, he has spoken and delivered papers locally and internationally. He loves Reading and Researching, Counselling, Travelling and Making People Happy. He is a Pastor in Deeper Life Bible Church and a Missionary to the Bahamas. He is happily married and blessed with children of resource.
